LVC’s Security Solutions for BCCS
LVC Companies’ work for Brooklyn Center Community Schools began when Mike Johnson, Director of Operations for BCCS, reached out to LVC Sales Representative Adam Wagner for help to upgrade the district’s surveillance camera system as a part of their ongoing work to improve security infrastructure across the district. After several audits and collaborative discussions, what began as a small-scale project grew into a multi-building, multi-system upgrade that is scheduled for completion by mid 2024.
“Adam was absolutely fantastic! He always showed up, listened to our needs, and always figured it out for us,” said Mike Johnson of BCCS. “Our partnership on this security project has also led to additional projects that they have been able to assist with. I would absolutely recommend LVC to another school district. From the beginning, they listened to what we wanted, and always took our calls.”
LVC’s security project for Brooklyn Center Community Schools covers three separate buildings: an elementary school, a secondary school, and a district office and special programs building. The aim of this project was to create a singleinterconnected platform through which district officials could easily monitor and operate all of the buildings’ security systems. The principal objectives of the security project included improving video surveillance in all three buildings, enhancing video quality, and installing a six-camera solution in a recreational center to provide superior coverage with fewer cameras than normal. Multiple Avigilon video security cameras were installed throughout the three school district buildings.
Another priority of the BCCSsecurity project was to enhance perimeter security in each building. To address entrance and exit door security, LVC designed and installed monitored delayed egress solutions in the three buildings to integrate with the district’s security system and emergency response protocols. As an additional security measure, our technicians installed new Avigilon card access control and intrusion systems by Bosch throughout the buildings to prevent any unauthorized access. LVC will continue to provide service and monitoring for all of these new security solutions.
