LVC Companies has once again been recognized for its commitment to workplace safety, earning the Minnesota Safety Council’s prestigious Governor’s Workplace Safety Award.
This marks the 16th time since 2007 that LVC has received the honor, highlighting the company’s continued excellence in occupational injury prevention throughout 2025. The award will be formally presented at the 2026 Minnesota Safety & Health Conference, taking place May 5–6.
“Keeping the people we work and live with safe is a full-time job,” said Paul Aasen, CEO of the Minnesota Safety Council. “Congratulations to LVC Companies for investing the time and energy to make work and life safer inside their organization and beyond.”
Since 1934, the annual Governor’s Workplace Safety Awards program has recognized Minnesota employers with outstanding safety performance. Applicants are evaluated based on multiple years of injury data compared to state and national industry benchmarks, as well as their progress in implementing comprehensive safety programs.
“The safety of LVC employees, customers, and fellow workers on our jobsites is our top priority,” said Bert Bongard, President and CEO of LVC Companies. “Our Safety Committee, management team, and field staff work together to strengthen our safety culture and maintain environments where everyone can return home safely at the end of each day.”
LVC’s award-winning safety program includes OSHA and industry-partner training, an automated online safety education platform, an OSHA-compliant AWAIR (A Workplace Accident and Injury Reduction) program, and weekly Toolbox Talks. The company also actively participates in Construction Safety Week each year, organizing a full schedule of safety-focused content and activities, including training videos, quizzes, and family engagement initiatives.
In addition to recognition from the Minnesota Safety Council, LVC has also earned Safety Excellence and Zero Injury awards from the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA).
