LVC Companies once again observed Construction Safety Week, an annual industry initiative focused on strengthening workplace safety awareness, training, and accountability throughout the construction and life safety industries.
“At LVC, safety is more than a requirement, it’s a cornerstone of our culture and responsibility shared by every member of our team,” explained LVC President and CEO Bert Bongard.
As part of this year’s Safety Week observance, LVC employees participated in hands-on live-fire extinguisher safety training designed to provide practical, real-world experience responding to fire emergencies. Participants learned how to properly assess a fire situation, safely operate fire extinguishers, and respond quickly and confidently in emergency scenarios. LVC also offers hands-on, live-fire training to customers in a variety of commercial, government, healthcare and other markets.
Throughout the week, employees also participated in a variety of additional safety-focused activities and educational opportunities. These included daily safety videos and surveys designed to reinforce awareness and encourage discussion around jobsite safety best practices. Team members also completed OSHA-approved first aid and bloodborne pathogen training to strengthen emergency preparedness and workplace response capabilities.
LVC’s Safety Week observance also included activities aimed at engaging employees and their families in the company’s safety culture. Staff and families participated in a safety-themed coloring challenge, while employees took part in a companywide safety scavenger hunt focused on identifying hazards, reinforcing procedures, and promoting teamwork.
The 2026 Construction Safety Week theme, “All In Together,” emphasizes the importance of shared responsibility in workplace safety. At LVC, that message aligns closely with the culture we strive to build for staff, fellow construction workers, and customers every day across our fire protection, fire alarms and life safety, security, structured cabling, and communications systems installation and service offerings. Safety depends on every individual recognizing hazards, following procedures, communicating effectively, and looking out for one another.
Whether working on a construction site, servicing a customer facility, or supporting projects behind the scenes, LVC employees understand safety is the top priority in everything we do.
Year-round, LVC’s award-winning safety program includes OSHA and industry-partner training, an automated online safety education platform, an OSHA-compliant AWAIR (A Workplace Accident and Injury Reduction) program, and weekly Toolbox Talks.
We thank our Safety Team and every LVC employee for their continued dedication to maintaining a safe workplace and helping strengthen the safety culture that defines LVC Companies.
