LVC’s contribution drove an additional $10,000 in donations, contributing $20,000 toward the organization’s Give to the Max Day fundraising campaign.

LVC Companies was honored to be a $10,000 matching partner for Ronald McDonald House Charities Upper Midwest (RMHC-UM) during this year’s Give to the Max Day campaign. And we’re excited to share the news that funds flooding in from 34 generous donors quickly reached the mark needed to “unlock” our pledge, effectively doubling their contributions to $20,000.

This match is part of LVC’s 2025 holiday season fundraiser benefiting RMHC-UM—a tradition that reflects our deep commitment to families in need. Last year, our holiday giving effort reached an all-time record of $30,000, thanks to the generosity of our employees and matching contributions from LVC Companies.

Our total donation includes employee contributions and company matching funds, continuing a longstanding tradition for LVC President and CEO Bert Bongard, who marks his 28th year of Christmastime donations to RMHC.

“My LVC family and I are honored to continue our long history of commitment and support to the Ronald McDonald House’s mission of providing hope and healing for families facing extremely difficult and challenging situations,” said Bongard. “We thank everyone for their generous contributions, which further increased the impact of our holiday giving.”

Why it matters:
RMHC-UM provides a home-away-from-home for families with seriously ill or injured children, offering comfort, care, and support during some of life’s most challenging moments.

Just last year, more than $7 million in out-of-pocket cost savings was provided for families utilizing RMHC’s five Minnesota locations—covering lodging, meals, transportation, parking, essential supplies, and much more.

“The Ronald McDonald House is a lifeline for Minnesotans navigating one of the most difficult moments of their lives—a child’s health crisis,” said Elizabeth Norton, RMHC foundation and community relations director. “No matter the diagnosis or prognosis, we welcome families with open arms, surrounding them with compassion, comfort, and community every step of the way. Our mission would not be possible without the support of partners like LVC who involve their employees in their charitable giving efforts and match their contributions. When combined with other donations through the Give to the Max campaign, the dollars—and the impact—really add up. Our sincere thanks to everyone involved for actively supporting our mission.”
