LVC Protects and Connects Menomonie Market Food Co-op

LVC Companies is proud to help protect and connect the new Menomonie Market Food Co-op in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

LVC is installing voice/data structured cabling, access control, and video surveillance security systems in the new two-story, 14,000-square-foot facility. LVC will also install a Bogen public address system to deliver paging and background music throughout the building.

Located in downtown Eau Claire’s Block 7 of North Barstow Street, the new store replaces the co-op’s existing 1,200-square-foot footprint on Farwell, Street.

The new Block 7 store will offer an expanded grocery lineup including more fresh meats and produce, dairy, and a larger deli section. There will also be indoor seating, a rooftop event space, and expanded parking.

The Menomonie Market Food Co-op also gives the city’s ambitious renewal efforts a major boost by ending Eau Claire’s nearly 20-year quest to bring a grocery store downtown.

MMFC’s cooperative structure means that it is equally owned by over 5000 families in the Chippewa Valley. Many owners have made additional investment in the project by purchasing $500 interest-bearing shares of stock in MMFC, totaling almost $2M, with a few outstanding shares still available.
