LVC’s National Division Protects and Connects X Roosevelt

The 19-story X Roosevelt is a stunning addition to the Phoenix skyline—and a welcome option for those seeking socially connected, luxury living downtown.

LVC Companies’ National Services Division is providing best-in-class security and communications solutions for The X Company’s X Roosevelt—a 19-story luxury apartment tower in downtown Phoenix’s Roosevelt Row Arts District.

The project includes designing and installing interior and exterior access control systems, a comprehensive video surveillance network, and structured cabling to support the building’s communications infrastructure.

These systems will enhance security and connectivity in the 350,000-square-foot building, which features 370 units (including private apartments and co-living spaces), plus retail, coworking, and fitness amenities.

X Roosevelt residents will enjoy a variety of living, wellness, and workspace amenities.

On the security front, LVC Companies is installing Salto Xs4 Original access control devices for all residence doors. These universally compatible devices feature next-generation technology, including advanced encryption, to provide users with a seamless yet secure keyless mobile experience.

LVC is also safeguarding specific areas with customized deployments of Avigilon Alta’s cloud-native access control system. Case in point: a long-range card reader at the parking garage entry allows residents to conveniently access the lot by simply holding their credentials up to their vehicle window.

The video surveillance network features various i3 International cameras strategically selected and positioned to provide maximum security while respecting the customer’s budget. For example, 360-degree fisheye models installed in garage levels and elevator lobbies yield total coverage with fewer cameras, while directional cameras monitor hallways. LVC is also installing wiring and power for magnetic door holds, which control fire and security doors in case of emergency.

On the structured cabling and communications front, LVC’s fiber connections, Fortinet switches, routers, and wireless access points will support first-level amenity spaces along with fifth-floor gym and pool areas.

X Roosevelt ranked #18 on the Phoenix Business Journal’s “Largest Valley Construction Projects of 2023.” The building is set for completion in fall 2025, with Brinkmann Constructors serving as general contractor and Lamar Johnson Collaborative as architect.
